Autumn
A Season of Gratitude and GoldThere’s something about autumn in New Orleans that slows me down in the best way. The air turns softer, the mornings feel like a warm hug, and the sunlight starts to shift — painting everything in shades of gold and honey.November reminds me to pause. To breathe. To look around and give thanks for the people, the food, and the moments that make Alma Café what it is.Autumn has always been my favorite season. It’s the season of transformation — when the earth exhales after summer’s intensity and invites us to gather close. At Alma, that spirit lives in every dish we serve this month. From our roasted vegetables and warm soups to the smell of cinnamon and coffee drifting through the café, everything carries a little piece of comfort.I’m thankful for the farmers who bring us their harvests, for my incredible team who pours their hearts into every plate, and for every guest who walks through our doors — sharing stories, laughter, and life with us.This season, Alma Café is all about slowing down and savoring. It’s about celebrating the abundance we’ve grown together, and giving thanks — not just for what we have, but for how far we’ve come.So here’s to the magic of autumn — to the crisp mornings, the cozy evenings, and the beauty in change. Come share a meal with us this November. Let’s give thanks together, the Alma way
